Came from Salalah to HCT this semester for Bachelor Degree. I'm staying in Muscat only till summer semester, so I'll do my best to gain as much as possible of knowledge in Programming this year. Wish me luck !

very good that's my goal.. am in certificate level .. but am programming since i were 15years old .. and that's why i fail in high school.. in Oman we need to regroup to guid each other .. but there is no serious programmer .. please , you don't mind contact me at my Email a.m.s.a.k@hotmail.com .. thanks

ReplyDeletedidn't think i would find another Omani who likes programming so soon. that's so good. well, i could say that one of my goals by this blog is to meet other Omani programmers and gather them in one place. anyway, good for you ahmed, i started programming when i was 17 as i remember but i didn't move forward and i stopped, so i started over again and here i am. in Salalah, i didn't learn a thing perhaps. don't wanna say this but i really didn't learn as i dreamed of. i thought when i join college of technology i would be an expert in programming, but that still so far. only little things i caught up from SCT and now i'm trying my best to gain as much as i can of knowledge in programming in HCT. i agree with you. there is no serious programmer, may be because there is no motivation. that's what i feel i think that's why we don't see programmers in oman. let's hope the best anyway.

ReplyDeletei'm a programmer too... i implemented a lot of applications and still working in the programming field though i finished my study... programming is a very interesting field to me and i really enjoyed developing programs and software ... u'll find a lot of ppl in Oman interesting in programming, a loooot

ReplyDeletewell, there are a lot in Oman... in SQU we used to do ACM contest which is a programming contest and our department conduct it locally in annual basis... u can participate with a group of 3 and u will meet a lot of ppl who are intelligent, smart, interesting in programming during this event and the challenge will be in its top level (it was i don't know if it's still challenging) and if ur team get rank 1 or 2 u will qualify to the middle east ACM and then if u win u will qualify to the world wide ACM....
